I have recently finished reading several books on simplifying ones life and environment, “The Year of Less” and “The life-changing magic of tidying up” which are pretty much in-line with what I have been doing for many years anyway, to varying degrees and with varying success. A brief period of training as a deshi to a Soto Zen nun helped and growing up with parents who were environmentalists and frugal survivors of difficult childhoods during the Great Depression. If I can’t change how can I expect the world to?
